LAW Resources For Librarians and Library Patrons

Kentucky Librarians and Library Patrons!

Did you know that September is Kentucky Archaeology Month?

The Living Archaeology Weekend Steering Committee invites you to celebrate it with us!

Archaeology in Kentucky? You bet! Who needs Egypt or Peru?

We have 10,000 years of archaeology right here in our own state

waiting to be learned about, read about, and protected.

Below are links for flyers, for bookmarks to download-print-cut-distribute, and for lists to share with your patrons of our recommended books, e-books, and websites so they can learn more on their own about Kentucky's Native peoples and archaeology.
And on Saturday, September 19, 2015, we encourage you and your patrons to come out to our free event from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Gladie Visitor Center in Red River Gorge. There you will see experts demonstrating technologies of Kentucky’s first peoples and those of the pioneer era. Visitors can even try some of the technologies themselves!
